Congratulations to Hannah Greenwood for winning the $500 Barry Bookstore gift card after her participation in the athletic interests and abilities survey that was administered to students in October. Hannah is a junior at Barry and is pursuing a degree in public relations.
When asked what she was going to do with the prize money, she said she was planning to buy Christmas presents for her family and use whatever is left over for books next semester. She also complimented how the survey was administered to students. “I loved how they had an incentive for participating in the survey," said Hannah. "I think it was a good marketing idea and it made the students curious to what the survey represented.”
This data collection is being conducted for evaluation, research, and planning purposes and may be used along with other information to determine whether Barry University is effectively accommodating the athletic interests and abilities of its students, including whether to add additional teams to Barry’s intramural, club and intercollegiate athletic programs. This information was requested from all traditional undergraduate students at Barry and over 800 students participated.
