The Department of Campus Ministry invites the Barry community to participate in Operation Rice Bowl – a Lenten sacrifice for those in need.
How to Participate:
· Pick up a Bowl at Campus Ministry starting Ash Wednesday, February 13, 2013.
· Learn about those who need our help
· Reflect and Pray about your Lenten Sacrifice
· Give the Dollar value of your Sacrifice
· Return your bowl to Campus Ministry on: Monday, March 25 or Tuesday, March 26.
CRS (Catholic Relief Services) Rice Bowl helps us enrich our Lenten journey and live in solidarity with the poor and vulnerable around the world.
Lent at Barry University: Pray, Fast, Give
We pray to deepen our relationship with God and reflect on what type of person we are called to be. We fast to remove the things that can get between us and God, and to remember those without enough to eat. We give alms, honoring our call to collaborate in service for those in need.
