WINTER PARK, Fla. --Barry's Adrian English and Tampa's Eric Luksishave been named Sunshine State Conference Baseball Players of the Week presented by VALIC.

PLAYER OF THE WEEK -- Barry junior 2B Adrian English (Miami, Fla.) batted .615 with 10 RBI and three runs to lead the Buccaneers to a three-game sweep of Georgia Southwestern. English notched multiple hits in each contest and had two doubles in both the series opener and finale. He came up particularly big in Barry’s 7-6 win in a 14-inning marathon on Saturday, going 4-for-5 with four RBI. He concluded the series with a .923 slugging percentage and .684 on-base percentage. English did not commit an error in the field.

PITCHER OF THE WEEK -- Tampa senior Eric Luksis (Wappingers Falls, N.Y.) allowed just one hit and one walk in six scoreless innings of a 6-0 shutout against Bentley. Luksis struck out five batters.
