No. 4 Barry Men's Tennis Eases Past Eckerd

MIAMI SHORES, Fla. -- Barry's No. 4-ranked men's tennis team breezed to a 9-0 sweep over Eckerd Saturday at Buccaneer Tennis Center.

The win sets up a showdown at noon Sunday against No. 12 Saint Leo. Any fan attending Sunday's match will receive free hamburgers and hot dogs.

In Saturday's match,  Barry's Max Wimmer beat Dylan Randazzo, 6-1, 6-0, at No. 1 singles. Leo Vivas beat Stephen Felman, 6-2, 6-1, at No. 2. At the No. 3 flight, Eduardo Alfonzo picked up a 6-2, 6-2 win over Frazier Springfield.

Kevin Sielmann returned to the court after a couple weeks off, beating Ben Levy, 6-1, 6-2, at No. 4. Alejandro Andino defeated Jonathan Cheng, 6-1, 6-1, at No. 5. Dominic Bisceglia posted a 7-5, 6-1 victory over Luke Burton at the No. 6 spot.

Barry's No. 1 pairs duo of Wimmer and Vivas cruised to an 8-1 doubles victory over Felman and Springfield. Marco Mokrzycki and Alfonzo held on to defeat Randazzo and Burton, 8-5, at the No. 2 flight. Sielmann and Andino defeated Levy and Cheng, 8-1, at No. 3.
