Men's Basketball Moves Up to No. 3/4 in Polls

Barry University men’s basketball team is ranked No. 3 in this week’s NCAA Division II College Sports Information Directors media poll, released Tuesday. The Buccaneers are No. 4 in this week’s National Association of Basketball Coaches NCAA Division II poll.

Barry (13-1, 5-0 Sunshine State Conference) earned 351 points in the media poll, moving up two spots. Lincoln Memorial (Tenn.) took over the top spot with 387 points and nine first-place votes. Indianapolis is No. 2 with 386 points and six first-place votes. Augustana (S.D.) received the other first-place vote, and is No. 5 behind Florida Southern.

The Buccaneers moved up three spots in the coaches poll. They are behind No. 1 Indianapolis, No. 2 Lincoln Memorial and No. 3 Florida Southern. Indianapolis and Lincoln Memorial are the lone remaining unbeaten teams in the country.

Barry received 333 points in the coaches poll. Indianapolis collected 391 points and seven first-place votes. Lincoln Memorial earned nine first-place votes and 387 points. Florida Southern picked up 356 points. West Liberty (W. Va.) dropped out of the top spot to No. 5, following a loss last week.

Barry will play at No. 16/24 Lynn (12-2, 5-0 SSC) at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday in Boca Raton.
