Barry moves to accept P2PE chip cards for purchases

Business Services, a department of the Division of Student Affairs has implemented a PCI-validated point-to-point encryption (P2PE) solution, allowing for the use of EMV, NFC, Apple Pay and Android/Samsung Pay. Students, staff and customers can now make these types of transactions at any of our main campus retail and dining outlets. The new devices have been deployed across campus, and Barry University is one of the first college campuses to adopt this technology.

The implementation of the P2PE technology is the result of a partnership between Barry University, CBORD, the leading provider of identification card systems, food service solution systems, and with FreedomPay to provide the industry's highest standard for payment data security The FreedomPay Commerce Platform is designed to secure highly diversified payment environments and accommodate online, offline and emerging payment technologies.
