Three To Join Men's Basketball

MIAMI SHORES, Fla.—Cesar Odio’s men’s basketball team has three new members for 2008-09, with a pair of guards and a post joining the team.
 
Brennan Taylor, a 6-2 freshman point guard from Father Lopez High in Daytona Beach, Fla., is the only high school recruit. Listed as one of the top point guards in Florida, he captained Father Lopez to a 21-8 record and a berth in the regional semi-finals. He averaged 20 points, seven rebounds and eight assists, shooting 43 percent from three-point range.
 
Zach Trapp, a 6-3 shooting guard, and Bartas Visinskis, a 6-8 forward/center, join the Bucs from Santa Fe Community College. Trapp averaged 8.1 points, 2.4 rebounds and 1.3 assists for the Saints last year after red-shirting in 2006-07. He shot 42.6 percent from three-point range. He will have three years remaining. Visinskis was a red-shirt in 2007-08 and will have four years to play. As a senior at The Rock School in Gainesville, the helped lead the Lions to the state title game averaging 10 points and five rebounds per game.
