Message from the Chair
Welcome to the Department of Communication website and thank you for your interest in our programs. Because it is closely linked to the technological, social, and cultural changes that are rapidly changing our world, communication is a popular and versatile major at Barry University that offers students various ways to pursue their interests and career goals.

WBRY
WBRY Radio is the student-run campus radio station. The station broadcasts live on 1640 AM and simultaneously on the web. Students from all communication majors can find creative outlet by producing content for the station or working behind the scenes by creating and executing the station’s promotional campaigns.
David Brinkley Studio
The David Brinkley Television Studio has a state-of-the-art switcher, DVE (Digital Video Editor), Teleprompter, audio facilities, and a three camera studio. Broadcast students use the studio in order to learn how to navigate the many elements of running a TV show as well as gaining practical broadcast experience.
