Dr. Risë J. Samra, Professor of Communication, teaches Public Relations case studies, campaigns, strategic issues management and crisis communication, in addition to Speech Research Writing and Delivery, and Business/Professional Communication. Her research interests include work in rhetorical analysis of pedagogical, political, social, and international issues in Public Relations. Her publications appear in The Public Relations Review, Handbook of Public Relations, American Heroes in the Media Age, The American Communication Journal, The Communication Teacher, and The International Academy of Business Discipline Research Yearbook. Dr. Samra is a frequent presenter and author for the proceedings in the Association for Global Business and International Academy of Linguistics, Behavioral and Social Sciences Association. She has worked and consulted for business/industry in Chicago, Tucson, and South Florida. She earned her M.A. from the University of Michigan and her Ph.D. from the University of Arizona.
