Program Overview
This major requires 43 semester hours in biology including:
- Biological Foundations
- Botany
- Zoology
- Comparative Anatomy
- Biodiversity of Ecosystems
- Ecology
- Comparative Physiology
- Dynamics of Restoration Ecology
- Restoration Models: Everglades
- Ecological Field Studies
Additional recommended credits may be taken from the following courses: Marine Biology, Aquatic Botany, Biochemistry, and Seminar.
Students must also fulfill the following biology, chemistry and physics requirements:
- BIO 300 - Special Topics as specified in the Undergraduate Catalog
( Biology 300 courses do not count toward the major)
- General Chemistry & Qualitative Analysis
- Organic Chemistry
- Quantitative Analysis
- 4 semester hours of physics (Introductory Physics or General College Physics recommended)
- Calculus I recommended
