School of Education/DEAN'S AWARD 2020/Maegan Cuesta

Maegan Cuesta has displayed excellence in academics, service, and leadership as a student in the Bachelor of Science in Education Program at Barry University. Her participation in course discussions and her course work exhibit a breadth and depth of knowledge about the art and science of teaching and learning, especially with regard to her program specialization, Exceptional Student Education. While at Barry University, Maegan has been a full-time student while also being a leader on the Barry University volleyball team thus demonstrating proficiency in multi-tasking and prioritizing in meeting deadlines for short- and long-term goals. Very recently, Maegan’s Internship Cooperating Teacher wrote a memo to program administrators commending Maegan on her excellence in the Internship and the impression she made on the students. Maegan exemplifies the values of the education profession, of Barry University, and of the Adrian Dominican School of Education (ADSOE). She is the recipient of the 2020 ADSOE Dean’s Award!
