Sister Phyllis Superfisky joined the Barry University faculty in 1990, having earned a Ph.D. in Educational Administration from Boston College, an M.A. in French from Saint Louis University, and a B.A. in French and German from Alverno College. "Sister Super" coordinates the Catholic Educational Leadership Track in the Educational Leadership Program and teaches courses related to educational leadership, multicultural education and the spirituality of leadership. Her professional interests include leadership applications of personality theory and administrative applications of the Myers-Briggs Type Inventory. Professional activities in the community include collaborating with schools and school systems on ways to enhance self-esteem of students and on applying knowledge of human development to improve the efficacy of education. Sister Superfisky is an active member of the consortium of Catholic Colleges and Universities which have graduate programs in Catholic School Leadership (NCGELP) and has taken an active role in planning annual leadership sessions at the National Catholic Education Association national conventions. |
