Bachelor of Science in Education (with Master of Science Option)

Master of Science (MS)

Counseling

Prepares counselors for school counseling positions or for private practice in marriage/family counseling, mental health counseling, and rehabilitation counseling. Certain areas are CACREP-accredited and/or DOE-approved.

Curriculum and Instruction (MS) Specialization in Early and Middle Childhood

The Master's Degree in Curriculum and Instruction with a Specialization in Early and Middle Childhood Education was designed for Preschool to 8th grade educators. The program has core courses designed to enhance curriculum expertise, pedagogical knowledge, and teacher leadership with an interdisciplinary specialization which focuses on increasing content area knowledge.

Curriculum and Instruction (MS) Specialization in English

The Master's Degree in Curriculum and Instruction with a Specialization in English was designed for educators working at the middle or secondary levels. The program has core courses designed to enhance curriculum expertise, pedagogical knowledge and teacher leadership with a specialization core aimed at enhancing content area knowledge in the areas of English, Literature and Writing.

Curriculum and Instruction (MS) Specialization in Social Sciences

The Master's Degree in Curriculum and Instruction with a Specialization in the Social Sciences was designed for educators working at the middle or secondary levels. The program has core courses designed to enhance curriculum expertise, pedagogical knowledge and teacher leadership with a specialization core aimed at enhancing content area knowledge in the areas of Sociology, American History, Government and Political Science.

Educational Leadership

Prepares school administrators for K-12 schools; DOE-approved for certification in educational leadership at the MS level.

Elementary Curriculum and Instruction

Exceptional Student Education

Degree programs that offer a comprehensive understanding of various exceptionalities and the acquisition of valuable inclusionary strategies to meet the unique individual needs of children in elementary, middle, and secondary schools.

Montessori

These degrees prepare one to implement a holistic, personalized, self-paced, hands-on developmentally appropriate curriculum for young children (ages two and one-half-through-twelve) using the Montessori Method.

Organizational Learning and Leadership (MS)

This program meets the professional growth needs of adults aspiring to improve their skills to successfully lead within profit or non-profit organizations as facilitators of employee, team, and organizational development.

Reading

This degree meets the state requirements for reading certification and prepares you to become a reading specialist, reading leader, reading coach, or reading resource person for the K-12 student.
