Program Overview
Enrolled students will pursue a master's degree in Elementary Education with ESOL endorsement. Individuals interested in obtaining an initial teacher certification in elementary education (only) may enroll in coursework that meets the state requirements for elementary education, grades K-6. Candidates need to maintain a 2.5 GPA for certification.

- Varied course timeframes: 3-week, 4-week, 10-week, and 16-week formats
- Evening and weekend schedules meet the needs of working professionals
- Fieldwork component to help connect theory with practice
- An internship provides on-the-job experience, networking opportunities, and exposure to authentic classroom settings
- Collaborative partnerships for professional development opportunities include research and seminars working alongside National Board Certified Teachers (NBCT), district-level committees, and community organizations
- Opportunities for involvement with practitioners in Miami-Dade and Broward County Public schools to participate in action research workshops and projects, as well as other professional conferences
