Mr. Javier Gonzalez is a faculty member of the Department of Teaching and Learning and the Coordinator for the 2+2 Program at Wolfson/Interamerican. He is an experienced educator of over 19 years in the areas of Pre-K/Primary and Elementary Education. He has taught for the Dade County Public Schools as well as for the private sector. At the college level, Mr. Gonzalez has taught at Florida International University, Kennesaw State University (Georgia), and Chattahoochee Technical College (Georgia).
Mr. Gonzalez enjoys teaching courses in curriculum studies, social studies education, the humanities, and early childhood education. His current research interests include constructivist education, early brain development, early intervention programs, Emilia Reggio preschools, and the work of Humberto Maturana.
Mr. Gonzalez has presented in numerous state, regional, and national conferences. A children’s chapter book, Goodbye, Cuba Linda is forthcoming. His community service includes working with homeless children and their families. He is presently pursuing his PhD in Curriculum and Instruction at Barry University. |
