Public service professionals have a wealth of valuable skills, and are always pursuing new opportunities to continually excel in these skills they have developed, as well as developing new areas of expertise.
Consider pursuing your FO1, FO2 and/or FI certifications. All courses meet NFPA Standard 1021 requirements and education requirements as outlined by the Bureau of Fire Standards and Training (Professional Qualifications for Fire Officer).
FO1 – Four (4) In-Classroom Courses (45 Contact Hours Each):
- Building Construction for the Fire Service
- Company Office Leadership
- Fire Service Course Delivery
- Firefighting Tactics and Strategy I
FO2 – Four (4) In-Classroom Courses (45 Contact Hours Each):
- Fire Service Course Design
- Firefighting Tactics and Strategy II
- Fire Prevention Practices
- Private Fire Protection Systems I
FI – Five (5) In-Classroom Courses (45 Contact Hours Each):
- Fire Prevention Practices
- Private Fire Protection Systems I
- Building Construction for the Fire Service
- Blueprint Reading and Plans Review
- Codes and Standards
Successful completion of all coursework will qualify participants to sit for state FO1, FO2 and/or FI examination.
