Biography

Phil Fishman is an Instructor of English and teaches Freshman Composition, Introduction to World Literature, and Journalism at Barry University. His focus in the English classroom is developing critical reading and writing skills to better prepare students for the future challenges within academia and the working world.

He has taught writing courses at The University of Massachusetts, Boston and Florida Atlantic University and has been published in major newspapers and magazines nationwide including The Boston Globe, The Philadelphia Inquirer, The Columbus (OH) Citizen-Journal, and Boca Raton Magazine. As an experienced journalist and educator, Phil continues to offer his knowledge and expertise as an active South Florida tutor of English. A recent creative writing project involves the creation of memoir and biography for those who desire their lives to be documented in book form.

Philip is currently writing feature articles and personality profiles for The Florida Sun-Sentinel Newspaper Group and Parklander Magazine.
