Language and Literature Specialization
The language and literature specialization consists of a minimum of 33 credits beyond SPA 101 and 102. In addition, students must take SPA 487 Senior Seminar.
Students will choose 12 credits from the following list of courses:
- SPA 315, 316 Reading and Writing I, II
- SPA 355, 356 Spanish Authors I, II
- SPA 360, 361 Major Hispanic-American Authors I, II
The remaining 21 credits may be selected from any 300 or 400 level course. The minimum grade of C is required in all major and minor courses. At the end of the program, Spanish majors must satisfactorily complete a comprehensive examination that includes an oral component.
