Why Environmental Science at Barry?

The South Florida environment provides opportunities for you to study marine biology in exciting and unique areas, including the Florida Everglades and the only reefs in the continental United States .

The core program will provide you with a solid background, rooted in Barry University 's history of quality education. The diversity of courses will give you a broad range of knowledge, enabling you to apply what you have learned to real world situations.

The program internships will provide you with unique opportunities to specialize the program to your own interests.

The research opportunities, including an EPA grant, will enable you to gain additional experience and further customize your education.

RISEE

A new, competitive education- and research-based program (RISEE) for undergraduates and local high school students has been funded by the EPA.  If selected into this program, you will receive scholarship support in addition to specialized training and experience in environmental research at Barry University and at important centers for environmental science (EPA sites and universities) around the nation.
