I love Barry!
I'm nearing the end of my work towards my Master's degree in Exceptional Student Education after nearly two years, and I can't believe it! The time has simply flown by. I have learned so much and made so many friends in the process. Although I am looking forward to receiving my degree in the near future, I have become a full-time teacher within the field this year, all thanks to the education I have received from Barry.
What has made my educational experience so great at Barry? First, I would say my professors. They are all highly experienced in their field and possess strong academic backgrounds. While they are all unique, delivering courses in their own special manner, they are also professional and extremely gifted teachers. Additionally, they are all wonderful, caring people. What better combination could you expect or hope for? They are simply the best!
I also enjoy the atmosphere of Barry as a small Catholic college. I can walk across campus and see many friendly faces. It's wonderful to get a cheery wave or a “How're you doing?” as you walk across campus. The friendly atmosphere is pervasive on campus, from the Financial Aid Office to Student Accounts to the Library to the Buck Stop Café to everyone in the Adrian Dominican School . I know I am a person and not simply a number within the crowd here at Barry.
Will I miss Barry after I graduate in the near future? Hopefully, I will not miss it for too long because I plan to continue my educational pursuits here. I would like to begin working on my Ph.D. as soon as I receive my Master's degree. Although the thought has run through my mind that perhaps I could pursue this degree somewhere else, I really wouldn't seriously consider any other college. When you've been part of the best, why look elsewhere?
As I said earlier, I love Barry! I know you will love it here, too.
