St. Petersburg / Tampa Bay Area

A program location within the University Partnership Center at St. Petersburg College (SPC) enables local residents to attend SPC for the first two years, preferably completing an associate's degree. AA or AS recipients, or those with previous college attendance, who are accepted to Barry University and are interested in pursuing the Bachelor of Science degree can seamlessly transition into Barry's junior and senior-level coursework leading to a major in Exercise Science or Sport Management. This program is designed for commuter students only and is offered to applicants who can show at least one year's residence in the St. Petersburg / Tampa Bay area (including Pinellas, Hernando, Hillsborough, Manatee, Pasco, and Sarasota counties). There are no residence halls. Coursework is offered in two linked eight-week sessions per semester, usually in the evenings, in order to accommodate the work schedules or family obligations of non-traditional college students.

Please note: Four-year traditional programs leading to the BS degree in Exercise Science or Sport Management are available on the Miami Shores campus and include residence hall accommodations.
