All of Barry’s facilities are during the summer (mid-May through August 1) as part of a conference, camp, or special event package. Availability for most facilities is limited during the academic year, but you may inquire about specific dates with our office.
Any events for outside organizations must be consistent with Barry University’s mission, and the organization must have an existing affiliation with a university department or academic unit. Individuals must be a Barry faculty/staff member, student, or alumni.
Cor Jesu Chapel
The Cor Jesu Chapel is available year-round for wedding ceremonies.
Shephard and Ruth K. Broad Auditorium
The Broad Center is a fully equipped 979 seat auditorium. Standard rental includes use of the auditorium, lobby, restrooms, two dressing rooms, green room, entry ways, and free parking in established areas as well as standard utilities such as air conditioning, water, and overhead lighting. Standard rental also includes the services of a technical director, staff, and general custodial maintenance.
Each dressing room is equipped with a shower, sink, make up mirrors, toilet facilities and can accommodate up to twelve people. Additional dressing room space may be arranged subject to additional costs.
Health and Sports Center - Gymnasium
The University gymnasium holds various types of camps, such as volleyball, basketball, dance and cheerleading camps. The gymnasium is approximately 14,820 square feet in size. It features built-in bleachers and public announcement system.
Andreas Conference Rooms
Andreas rooms 111 and 112 can accommodate up to 150-200 people. These facilities can be used for meetings, luncheons, dinners, seminars, and receptions. Andreas 111/112 are the largest of our conference/banquet rooms; both are over 3,000 square feet in size.
The Kostka room can accommodate up to 75 people. It can be used for meetings, luncheons, dinners, and receptions. This room is close to the dining facilities, and can easily be catered to by Sodexho Dining Services. It has an elegant atmosphere, which does not require much decorating.
The Lehman conference room can accommodate groups of 15-20 people. It is equipped with a fixed projection screen and whiteboard. The room is generally in a conference-style setup. It is ideal for meetings and small group discussions.
Small Dining Room
The Small Dining Room (formerly Priests’ Dining Room) can accommodate groups between 15-20 people in size. It features four round tables that can comfortably seat up to five each. It works best for meetings or small banquets.
Barry offers classrooms available to accommodate small and large groups of people. Conference & Event Services works in cooperation with the Office of the Registrar to reserve classrooms for meetings and events.
Barry has seven residence halls on our main campus. Our residence halls offer a variety of housing options, including single , double and triple occupancy rooms, enclosed residence halls, and apartment-style suites. All of our residence halls feature air conditioned rooms.
Outdoor Areas can and should also be reserved through the web request form. The University hosts a variety of events in various locations, such as the Mall Area in front of the Chapel, Thompson Plaza, and the Chapel Deck. Conference & Events services can arrange most of the services you will need for outdoor events, such as tables and chairs, tents, and sound equipment.
During the summer months, free on-site parking is available to all conference and camp guests. Parking may be available during the academic year for an additional fee, subject to approval by Barry University’s Public Safety Department.
