If your passion is music and you want to enhance your career options by pursuing a degree in music, a Bachelor’s degree in Music can give you audition possibilities for graduate degrees and diverse professional activity. With a degree in music, you can perform or work in a Church as a director or soloist, be a private instructor, or work in other areas related to Music and the performing arts.

The following are ways to combine a Bachelor of Music (65 credits) or a Bachelor of Arts in Music (39 credits) with other programs within Barry University to increase knowledge and career opportunities within the field of music.

  • A Bachelor of Music with a Minor in Theatre and Dance.
  • A Bachelor of Music in Education and proceed to apply for teaching certification with its requirements.
  • A Bachelor of Music or a Bachelor of Arts in Music with a double major or a minor in following is recommended: Business, Marketing or Management, depending on your specific future interests.
  • A Bachelor of Music and a minor in psychology or double major in social work. Post graduate work in music therapy is recommended.
