Erin St. John, (Barry Adjunct Dance Faculty), is an independent choreographer, performer and teacher. Originally from Toronto, Canada, Erin moved to the Miami area in 2003. Erin completed her Bachelor of Education degree from York University, Toronto, Ontario specializing in Fine Arts- Dance. Prior thereto, she received a Masters of Arts in Dance degree from York University, as well as a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Dance degree from The Florida State University, Tallahassee, Florida. She attended the National Ballet School of Canada and completed her Royal Academy of Dancing certificates at Dancespace under the direction of Kennetha McArthur. Erin has worked with many choreographers including Peggy Baker, Jade Boyd, Darcey Callison, Jack Clark, Lynda Davis, Sion Irwin-Childs, Michael Sean Marie, Anthony Morgan, Sara Porter, Trinette Singleton, Holly Small, Nancy Smith Fichter and Jawole Willa Jo Zollar.In 2007, Erin toured with Karen Peterson and Dancers Inc., in “A History of American Modern Dance,” a performance series funded by the National Endowment for the Arts and participated in the 40th International Choreographers Festival in Podgorica, Montenegro in May of 2008. Erin also works as Dance Program Coordinator at Broward College Central Campus in Davie and Adjunct Dance Faculty at Nova Southeastern University, Fort Lauderdale.
