| Teaching Philosophy |
"My philosophy of teaching photography has always been based on two things. First to build a complete foundation of skills to provide students with the tools necessary to express themselves through a personal description of the world. Second and more importantly, the encouragement, support and freedom to do so." |
Born in Los Angeles California, Scott Weber earned both the Batchelor of Fine Arts and the Master of Fine Arts in Photography at the San Francisco Art Institute in San Francisco California. The rich photographic traditions of the program founded by Ansel Adams and the opportunity to study with master photographers has influenced his personal vision and his dedication to the medium of photography. The most recent addition to the photography faculty, joining the Barry staff in 2002, Scott has spent over twenty years documenting the urban and rural landscape of America. His photographs have been collected by museums and used to illustrate documentary projects for historical societies as well as exhibited in galleries.
