Goizueta Foundation Scholarship
Recipients
Due to the thoughtful, philanthropic vision of Mr. Robert C. Goizueta,
founder, the Goizueta Foundation aims to support educational programs
that promote sustainable change and have a long-term impact in the
community. In order to carry out this vision, The Foundation prefers
to work closely with potential grantees to encourage open communication
and foster a sense of community partnership.
Since 2000, Barry University has been connected to the Goizueta
Foundation because of the priority for the promotion of social justice
and community service that is part of the charism of the then president,
Sister Jeanne O’Laughlin, OP, PhD and the Adrian Dominican
Sisters. The dedication to these two components of community leadership
makes Barry University and Goizueta Foundation and ideal match. Together
Barry and Goizueta are building leaders designed to serve the human
family.
