Student and Faculty Accomplishments

Christophe Arteaga (RISE), Tina Franklin (RISE) and Dr. Redway received a fellowship (travel and registration) to attend the first APS Explorations in Biomedicine Undergraduate Physiology Exploration Retreat, Denver, CO, June 9-11, 2006.

Michelle Sullivan (RISE) received the Organic Chemistry and College Physics Student of the Year awards, Spring 2006.

Maria Pineda (MARC/RISE) was accepted to the short course of the L.H. Baker Center for Bioinformatics and Computational Biology, June 2006.

George Fisher, Ph.D. (Professor of Chemistry) is co-editor of a book on D-amino acids “D-Amino Acids: A New Frontier in Amino Acid and Protein Research-Practical Methods and Protocols” to be published later this year. Two chapters in the book are based on his research here at Barry.
