Awards / Accomplishments
Karen Phillips
(MARC '93) completed the requirements for the Ph.D. degree (Chemistry),
Columbia University, February 2001. She is currently an assistant professor
at Hunter College, City University of New York.
Alberto Silva
(MBRS '94 / MIRT '96) completed the requirements for the DDS degree, University
of Florida, May 2001.
Natasha Meadows
(MBRS '93 / MIRT '95) completed the requirements for the MD degree at
The University of Miami, May 2001. Natasha is beginning her residency
in Internal Medicine and Pediatrics, Orlando Regional Health Care Hospital,
Orlando, Florida.
Fadia Narchet
(MARC '98) received the NIH Pre-Doctoral Award. She is currently a 2nd
year graduate student at Florida International University (Ph.D. Psychology).
Parinda Parikh
(MBRS '94) completed the requirements for the MD degree, Ross University.
She is currently a PGY-II at the Department of Psychiatry, Brookdale University
Hospital and Medical Center, in New York. She is also a union delegate
for residents and interns.
Dirian Valdes
(MARC '98), married her sweetheart Jose Esteban, July 21, 2000. Dirian
is a 2nd year graduate student at the University of Iowa (Ph.D. Psychology).
| Dania Alarcon-Vargas
(MBRS '92) gave birth to a beautiful baby girl (Maya Nicole Vargas)
on January 31, 2001. Dania is a 5th year graduate student at Mt. Sinai
Graduate School (Ph.D. Biomedical Sciences). |
