Davecia Ragoonath (MARC) received a certificate of award honoring her "Distinguished Achievement" at the 66th Annual Florida Academy of Sciences Meeting, Miami, FL, March 8, 2002.

Maria AbreuMaria Abreu (MIRT/MARC) was among the 71 candidates selected to present her research conducted in Korea on Capitol Hill, April 18, 2002.

Empress Hughes (RISE) received the Outstanding Sophomore Award, was accepted to the prestigious Medical Missions Program, was elected Student Government Treasurer and has received the Excellence in Leadership Award, Spring 2002.
