About the Programs
The MARC U*STAR, MBRS RISE and MBRS SCORE programs are supported by the National Institutes of Health, to provide research opportunities for students and faculty. MARC U*STAR scholars, are biology, psychology, chemistry and mathematics majors who carry out research on campus and who will pursue a Ph.D. in their major. Scholars receive tuition and monthly stipends. MBRS RISE students major in biology and chemistry and are paid to carry out research on-campus with faculty and off-campus during the summer. MBRS SCORE has student technicians who carry out research with faculty in chemistry and biology. Technicians receive an hourly wage.
