- Fall 2006 Salihah Dick, (MARC/RISE, 2005) has been accepted into the MD/PhD programs at Vanderbilt University and Cornell University; she will begin Cornell in Fall 2006; this seven year program is fully funded through the Medical Scientist Training Program. Glenda Martinez, PhD, (MARC, 2000) completed the PhD Clinical Neuropsychology at Nova Southeastern University; she is currently a resident at Mount Sinai Medical Center, and will become an adjunct faculty in our Psychology Department as of Fall 2006. Kisha Morgan, MD (MIRT/MBRS, 1995) is engaged to Jon James Tata, the wedding is planned for September 2, 2006, in Jamaica. Dr. Morgan is practicing with a group in Pulmonary/Critical Care, Sarasota, FL. She is triple boarded in Internal Medicine. The group will be working as Associate Professors at Florida State University and will be mentoring 3rd & 4th year medical students in the hospital and the office. Collins Boston, (MARC, 2005) has been accepted into University of Florida, University of South Florida, and Florida Atlantic University. He will be attending Florida Atlantic University, PhD program in Bioanalytical Chemistry, funded through the Medical School Graduate Tuition Scholarship/Graduate Fellowship. Jeanette Rios, (MIRT, 2002) completed the requirements for the Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine and Masters in Public Health at Nova Southeastern University, May 2006. She is now a resident in Internal Medicine at Mount Sinai Medical Center, Miami Beach. Isa Arias, (MIRT, 1999) begins the PhD Infectious Diseases Program at University of California, Berkeley, Fall 2006. Norma Lorenzo, (MARC/MIRT, 1996) completed the requirements towards the Juris Doctorate, May 2005, Florida International University. She is currently an Associate Attorney, Law Offices of Montiel-Davis and Fonte, PA, Miami, FL. Tiffany Guff, (MIRT, 2004) is now a HPLC chemist at Amgen, GA. Tericka Smith-Cesar, (MARC, 2000) will be completing the clinical requirements towards MSN at Vanderbilt University, and then begin the PhD Nursing program there. Her intended concentration of research will be clinical alternative medicine/nutrition approaches to hypertension in minority populations. Poincyanne Assis, (MARC/RISE - Biology) - accepted to University of Michigan, MI and University of Miami, FL. She will attend the University of Miami, FL, PhD program in Neuroscience. Vivian Maccachero, (MARC - Biology), - attending Florida International University, FL, PhD program in Biological Sciences.
