Graduate Updates

Edgar Tyson, PhD Social Work (MARC’94) published, “Ethnic Differences Using Behavior Rating Scales to Assess the Mental Health of Children: A Conceptual and Psychometric Critique” in Child Psychiatry and Human Development, in press.

Lisan Parker (MARC’98) received her PhD in Pharmacology in August, 2003 from Vanderbilt University, TN. She is currently a postdoctoral fellow at St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital in Memphis, TN in the Department of Developmental Neurobiology conducting hearing research.

Dania Alarcon-Vargus (MBRS’95) received her PhD in Biomedical Sciences in November 2003 from Mt. Sinai Graduate School of Biological Sciences in New York. Dania will begin a postdoctoral fellow at Albert Einstein in February 2004.

Stephanie Bingham (MBRS’98) received her PhD in December 2003 in Developmental Neuroscience. Stephanie will begin a postdoctoral fellow at the University of Miami Medical School with the Miami Project to cure paralysis.
