About the Programs

The MARC U*STAR, MRBS RISE, and MBRS SCORE programs are supported by NIH to provide research opportunities for students and faculty. MARC U*STAR scholars may be biology, psychology, chemistry, computer science and mathematics majors who carry out research on campus and who will pursue a Ph.D. in their major. Scholars receive tuition and a monthly stipend. MBRS RISE students may major in biology and chemistry and are paid to carry out research on-campus with faculty and off-campus during the summer. MBRS SCORE has student technicians who carry out research with faculty in chemistry and biology. Technicians receive an hourly wage. Contact Dr. F.
