- Spring 2007 Dear Dr. Redway, I would like to take this opportunity to thank you for everything you have done for me, both as the program director and, at a personal level, as part of my support system; thank you for your patience, availability and most importantly for believing in me. Participating in the MIRT, MBRS RISE and MARC U* STAR programs have been among the most important decisions of my scientific career. Participation in the programs not only provided me with information and experience in biomedical research, but also provided me with a family environment within Barry University. As I prepare to enter graduate school, I have confidence in my abilities to succeed, and most of that confidence I owe to you, the faculty and the other students in the programs. - Carolina Pombo-Martinez (MARC 2006) “The MARC U*STAR program presented valuable opportunities towards my scholastic and professional future, enriched my research experience and assured me of the validity of my career goals.” - Poincyanne Assis-Naciemento (MARC 2005) is a first year PhD Neuroscience student at University of Miami.
