Faculty Accomplishments
Dr. Laura Ferrer-Wreder (MARC ’93) has been awarded a Safe Schools Healthy Students grant by The Miami-Dade County School. Funding is provided for this grant from combined support of the following federal agencies: Department of Education, Department of Health and Human Services, and the Department of Justice. The goals of this project are to promote a safe school environment, prevent alcohol and other drug use, provide early intervention, improve school and community mental health preventive treatment intervention services, and provide a catalyst for educational and policy reform.
