House Bio

The Barry-sponsored Habitat House is the culmination of three years of fundraising for the Barry University Habitat Chapter and the culmination of a dream for Riva Perryman and her five children.

Construction was launched by a check presentation ceremony at the house, which is located in the Overtown neighborhood of Miami, Florida. We hope to complete construction and see the Perryman family take full ownership of this home by mid-January 2004.

You can follow our progress on the construction update pages. Each Saturday members of the Chapter, Barry staff and students meet to work with the family on this momentous and joyous project!

Or just come and visit the house, which is at the corner of NW 2nd Avenue and NW 20th Street , and witness how many contributions can become a blessing for a family.
