Dr. Jascinth Lindo
FACULTY RESEARCH AND SERVICE:
Dr. Jascinth Lindo is a Registered Nurse (since 1988) with double Masters Degrees in Nursing Education and Public Health. In 2012 she attained a PhD in Public Health from the University of the West Indies. Dr. Lindo has extensive experience in the pedagogy of epidemiology, public health, health promotion and research methods; having taught at undergraduate and postgraduate levels since 2005.
A strong advocate for evidence-based practice, Dr. Lindo has published 17 peer reviewed articles, co-authored more than 50 abstracts and conference presentations (regional and international). Dr. Lindo is a former research consultant with the Ministry of Health Jamaica, and drafted technical reports on antiretroviral adherence among HIV clients and perinatal, maternal and neonatal mortality.
Professional service include: reviewer for several nursing journals, member of the editorial board of the International Journal of Healthcare, founding member of the Caribbean Honor society of Nursing and a member of the Nurses Association of Jamaica.
