Judith Malek-Ismail, DHSc, OTR/L
Dr. Malek-Ismail started her occupational therapy career with an associate’s degree in occupational therapy from Palm Beach College in 1990 and practiced as she earned her BS in Occupational Therapy in 1995 from Barry University. She completed an MS degree in education from Nova Southeastern University and a Doctorate in Health Science from the University of Indianapolis in 2011. She has clinical experience with children and older adults with specialization in orthopedic injuries, neurological disorders, and women’s health. Dr. Malek-Ismail has held clinical and academic leadership positions. She served as the Fieldwork and Program Coordinator for an OTA program and managed a women’s wellness program. Her clinical and research interests include productive aging, community health programming, and women’s wellness. In her leisure time, Dr. Malek-Ismail enjoys an active South Florida lifestyle taking advantage of numerous outdoor activities, training her dog, traveling, and gardening.
