Kelley Eddington Magana
Mrs. Magana joined the College of Nursing and Health Sciences (CNHS) in 2011. As Assistant Dean, Mrs. Magana provides effective business and administrative guidance to the CNHS community in fulfilling college-wide strategic initiatives as it relates to the mission and core commitments of Barry University. She serves as a senior staff member of the CNHS leadership team and works collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders of the College. Serving in a management capacity, Mrs. Magana oversees internal and external business and administrative operations of CNHS which include developing, interpreting, and implementing procedural policies and administering tactical initiatives as directed by the CNHS Deans. Mrs. Magana has expertise in strategic planning, project management, and sustainable operations, with over ten years of experience leading cross-functional teams to achieve strategic and operational milestones. She is passionate about leveraging skills to lead business oper ations initiatives in support of the University’s mission to empower students, faculty, and staff in a knowledge and service-based global society.
Mrs. Magana is a member of the Business Officers of Nursing Schools (BONUS) through the American Association of Colleges of Nursing, member of the NVCA, VCOMA, American Marketing Association, LAVCA, the Beacon Council, and the Miami Finance Forum.
Mrs. Magana graduated with a B.A. from the University of Houston and a M.A. from Barry University with a concentration in business, management, marketing, and related support services.
