Dr. Carolyn LePage received her diploma in nursing from St Joseph’s Hospital Health Center, Syracuse, NY, BSN, and MSN with a specialization in Family Nurse Practitioner and PhD from Barry University. She is an Assistant Professor in the Division of Nursing, teaching in the graduate and doctoral programs. Dr. LePage has over 25 years of clinical experience in critical care, emergency services, and primary care. Her current research interests focus on obesity, geriatric issues, chronic renal failure, and qualitative strategies. Dr. LePage received the Division of Nursing Outstanding Research Award for her doctoral dissertation entitled “The Lived Experience of Individuals Undergoing Roux en Y Gastric Bypass Surgery.”
She is co-author of Critical Care Concepts, Role, and Practice for the Acute Care Nurse Practitioner, an AJN Nominee for Book of the Year (2009).
Dr LePage is immediate past president of Lambda Chi Chapter Sigma Theta Tau International, where she has served in numerous roles over the past decade. She is the recipient of the Victoria Schoolcraft Award for Leadership and the Peg Streck Divisional Student Services Award.
