Education is one of her tenet beliefs. She believes it should be considered a right, not a privilege. Education in its broadest context is an ongoing process that serves to improve quality of life. For the past 24 years, she has dedicated herself to this wonderful profession known as nursing, and the past four years as a nurse educator. Today’s healthcare system demands the best and brightest to care for clients in the acute care as well as the community setting. To this end, she is committed to providing the students in the undergraduate nursing program here at Barry University with the knowledge and skills needed for competent practice.
Her research interests include the future of nursing education pedagogy, doctoral preparation for nursing faculty, and advancing and leading the profession. Her current qualitative research dissertation focuses on doctoral education and the nursing faculty.
