Sharon Y. Rafalko is an assistant professor in the Division of Nursing at Barry University since 2005. She is also the director of the Nursing Resource Center. She is also the faculty advisor to the Barry University Nursing Student Association (NSA). Sharon teaches medical surgical nursing in the traditional and accelerated option undergraduate nursing program. Sharon has a particular interest in simulation-based learning experiences for students in medical surgical nursing I and II, high acuity and role transition, and has developed scenarios that reinforce the application of theory into the clinical setting.
Sharon Y. Rafalko has a special interest in informatics and/or simulation research. She has participated, published, and presented in a variety of research projects about arts and Alzheimer’s disease, HESI and NCLEX scores, simulation, and academic advising.
