Athletic Training Degree (Bachelor of Science)
Barry University's undergraduate athletic training program will give you a comprehensive view of the field and prepare you for career opportunities in professions related to the care, prevention, assessment, and rehabilitation of injuries related to physical activity.
The Athletic Training bachelor's degree also provides a strong foundation in the sciences for students interested in pursuing graduate study in athletic training or in the related fields of exercise physiology, occupational therapy, physical therapy, recreational therapy, and physician's assistant. Barry's degree in athletic training will prepare you to join over 300 Barry alumni working in a variety of settings, including high schools, clinics, and many other professional locations. It will also provide you with the knowledge, skills and credentials to sit for the Board of Certification exam. The total of number of graduates from the athletic training program from 2013-2016 is twenty-nine, 76% (22 students) passed the Board of Certification (BOC) exam on the first attempt, and twenty-four out of twenty-nine (83%) passed the exam overall.
