The PhD in Leadership and Education with a specialization in Higher Education Administration is diversified in scope and can prepare a student for teaching and  administrative positions in community colleges, four year colleges, and universities, or a career path in industry.  Our alumni hold many distinguished positions.

The 54 credit accelerated program includes 12 credits for common core, 12 credits for research methods, 12 for the study of Higher Education Administration, 12 credits for electives, and 6 credits for dissertation.

In this Doctoral program, a student is encouraged to think about a dissertation topic as he or she moves through the coursework.  The student will attend a Dissertation Seminar for assistance in preparing a dissertation proposal.
