Priva Fischweicher is an assistant professor of the PhD program in Leadership and Education/Higher Education Administration. She serves as Barry University’s representative on the Miami-Dade Public School’s Ethical Advisory Board. Dr. Fischweicher is a member of the Faculty Senate and co-chairs the Grants, Leaves and Sabbatical Committee. In addition, she has served on the board of the Barry University chapter of Phi Delta Kappa in various capacities including co-president. Dr. Fischweicher has more than twenty-five years of experience in K-12 public and private education as both a teacher and administrator. Premised on her diverse work experiences in the U.S., Australia, and New Zealand, Dr. Fischweicher has interest in the following areas: teaching and learning, curriculum development, critical thinking, technology and education, leadership and organizational change. She has chaired a number of dissertation committees in the areas of higher education and leadership.
