Administrative Staff

Matthew Cameron

Director, Housing Residence Life

Matthew Cameron comes to Barry University after working in the Department of Housing and Residential Life at Florida Atlantic University. Matthew completed both his undergraduate degrees and graduate degree here at Barry. Matthew holds a B.S. in Criminology and M.S. in Higher Education Administration. Matthew has over 11 years of residence hall experience and is responsible for providing the overall leadership and direction for the Department of Housing and Residence Life

Patrick Devine

Associate Director

Dennis Lue Yat completed both his undergraduate and graduate degrees here at Barry. Dennis holds a B.S. in Business, MBA & M.S.  Sport Management. Dennis is a native of Trinidad and Tobago. After graduating from Barry, Dennis began his career at Quinnipiac University, Hamden, CT in 2006. Dennis has over 8 years of residence hall experience and is responsible for assignments, billing, facilities management, and budgeting.

Patrick Devine

Associate Director of Residence Education

Alberto is a proud Cuban-American born in Cuba and raised in the US. Albert is a two-time Barry University alum; he received a BA in English from the School of Arts and Sciences in 2007 and continued to work on an MS in Higher Education Administration with a concentration on college student development. Shortly after obtaining his second degree from Barry, Alberto transitioned to working full-time in Residence Life at Georgetown University in Washington, D.C. While at Georgetown, Alberto completed another MA in English Literature which helped him continue to work toward bringing together the residential and academic experience of his students. Some topics of passion for Alberto include the Latino student experience and the intersection of race, class, language, gender, and sexuality in the US."

Administrative Assistant

The administrative assistant is responsible for the day to day operation of the Housing and Residence Life Office. This person is directly response for management of the maintenance repair request/work orders system in conjunction with Facilities Management. Additionally, the admin assistant oversees and supervises the Office Assistants. This person is the departmental point of contact for the Barry Cares initiative.

Reynaldo Soares

Residence Coordinator

Reynaldo Soares is the Residence Coordinator for Kolasa Hall, Holly House Apartments, and the off-campus houses. He has over 9 years of experience in student affairs, including housing and residence life, student activities, and orientation. Reynaldo received both hisB.S.B.A in Management and a M.Ed. in College Student Personnel Administration from The University of West Florida.

Prior to come to Barry in the summer of 2011, he served as a Living Center Director at Grand Valley State University for 4 years. Reynaldo is a member of National Association of Student Affairs Administrators in Higher Education (NASPA). He speaks fluently Portuguese and basic Spanish.

Judisha Chetty

Residence Coordinator

Judisha Chetty comes to Barry University after serving as a Graduate Assistant in Campus Life at Florida International University in North Miami. She received her undergraduate degree from Florida Atlantic University in Boca Raton, FL and her graduate degree from Florida International University in Miami, FL. She holds a B.A. in History with a Minor in Sociology and M.S. in Higher Education Administration. Judisha is a native South African and appreciates the warm weather here in South Florida as it reminds her of home!

Leisel Douglas

Residence Coordinator

Leisel Douglas is the Residence Coordinator for the First Year Area, which includes Weber Hall, Dalton & Dunspaugh Halls, Sage Hall, and Browne Hall. A native of Los Angeles, CA, she received her B.A. degree in Pan-African Studies from California State University, Northridge in Southern California. She received her M.Ed in Higher Education Administration from Northeastern University in Boston, MA. Leisel is a member of a number of Higher Education organizations, including NASPA, ACUHO-I, and ACPA. This is her first time in Florida and she enjoys the change of scenery!
