ShuttleBUC Van Service – Monday – Friday from 8:00am – Midnight
The two 24-passenger vans, called Shuttle BUCs, will replace Public Safety's current tram system. By switching from the electric-powered trams to the vans, Public Safety's shuttle service will be able to accommodate more passengers, extend operation hours, travel a farther distance using a central-campus drop-off point, and protect passengers from rain and other weather conditions. The vans are also equipped with safety features such as seatbelts and hand rails. The ShuttleBuc van runs to/from Andreas Park (115th Street and NW 2nd Avenue), the commuter overflow lot, and Broad Auditorium.
These are boxes that are strategically placed on campus. The call box is operated by pushing down on a large red button, speaking into the receiver after hearing a beep, and then releasing the button to listen to the dispatcher's response. These calls are redirected to Public Safety, who can monitor the location of the calls.
Campus officially locks down at 10:00pm. All students who want to access campus at this time will have to go through the gate on 111th street. All people who wish to enter after this time will have to show student ID if you live on campus or show state ID and give reason for entering campus if you are visiting.
