Dining and Meal Plans

Barry University has several different resident meal plans from which you can choose. Each plan carries the same cost, which is included in your room and board.

Meals in the Rousell Dining Hall are all-you-care-to-eat, buffet-style. The Dining Hall is typically open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner on weekdays, brunch and dinner on weekends, and two late night dining meals on Monday and Wednesday (for a total of 21 meal periods per week).

Additional meals and/or snacks can be purchased with your Dining Dollars at the Roussell Dining Hall, Buc Stop Café, and WOW Café and Wingery. Choose from a wide variety including hamburgers, salads, pizza, sushi, and much more.

Campus Dining Locations

Roussell Dining Hall

Is located on 2nd Floor of Landon Student Union, and offer an all you can eat dining experience. This dining hall offers a wide variety of fresh food, fruit and salads. There is something for every kind of diner, freshly baked pizza, sandwiches, homemade soups, and many more. The dessert selection is also includes ice cream and a assortment of freshly baked cakes and cookies.

WOW Café and Wingery

IT is a World of Wings and so much more! WOW is located on the ground floor of the Landon Student Union and offers an assortment of saucy wings. Students can also get Wraps, Salads, Soups, Tenders, and Quesadillas among other mouth watering options."

BUC Stop Café

Located in Thompson Hall the Buc Stop Café is a popular place on campus to get pre packaged food, hot and cold beverages and grilled food. Starbucks and Einstein Bros are the two brands that are offer a selection of coffee, bagels, bistro salads, sandwiches desserts and hot and cold beverages.

Meal Plan Notes

  1. Valid University ID card is required at each meal attended. NO EXCEPTIONS!
  2. Students on meal plans must present their valid university ID card upon entry to the dining room. This card may only be used by the person for whom it was issued. The meal card may only be swiped for meals for whom the card is issued. Fraudulent use of a university card will result in the card being destroyed and all persons involved being referred to the University Judicial system.
  3. Meal Plan week begins with breakfast on Friday and ends after dinner on Thursday. There are 21 meals in a regular meal plan week - including the two late night dining meals.
  4. Students are permitted to request a “meal-to-go” instead of eating in the facility by obtaining a take-out container from the cashier. In order to obtain a “meal-to-go” from the Roussell Dining Hall, students must state that choice to the cashier when they first enter the facility and obtain a take-out container and disposable cup and utensils. Only one “meal-to-go” per meal period is permitted.
  5. Dining Dollars are only usable in the Roussell Dining Hall (2nd floor, Landon Union), Buc Stop Café (Thompson Hall), or WOW Café and Wingery (1st floor, Landon Union).
  6. Unused weekly meals on plans 1-4 do not carry over from week to week.
  7. Unused Dining Dollars on any plan do not carry over from semester to semester.
  8. Requests for meal plan changes must be received by Friday of the first week of the semester.

The meal plan options enable you to balance the number of times you plan to eat in the Dining Hall with the amount you plan to spend at other campus dining locations. With the exception of the 110 plan (see below), Dining Hall meals do not “roll-over” from week to week.

19 meals

Students who want to eat in the dining hall for almost every meal. Students with this plan won’t have to worry about “running out” of Dining Hall visits for the week.

15 meals

$50

Students who plan to eat in the Dining Hall for two meals a day, and have some dining dollars for the occasional meal/snack.

12 meals

$100

Students who plan to eat in the Dining Hall for two meals a day, and have some dining dollars for the occasional meal /snack.

8 meals

$225

Students who plan to eat one meal a day in the dining hall. Students on this plan must monitor their dining dollars spending more closely to avoid running out early in the semester.

110 meals per semester (average of 7 meals per week)

$225

Students who want flexibility in eating meals in the dining hall. Students on this plan must monitor their meals and dining dollars spending more closely to avoid running out early in the semester.

Holly House Apartment Voluntary Meal Plans:

  • Holly House Block 15: 15 meals /week –left over meals will rollover from week to week plus $75 in Dining Dollars/semester. Cost: $1435 per semester.
  • Holly House Block 7:  7 meals/week –left over meals will rollover from week to week plus $150 in Dining Dollars/semester. Cost: $790 per semester.
  • Holly House Declining Balance: $750.00 in Dining Dollars/semester. Cost: $750 per semester.

Meal Plan Notes:

  • All meal balances zero out at the end of the semester.
  • Dining Dollars carry over from Fall to Spring within one academic year if another meal plan is purchased.
