Dr. Chia-ying (Doris) Lu, Ph.D., Assistant Professor, Sport Management
Dr. Lu earned her baccalaureate degree in International Business at Ming Chuan University in Taipei, Taiwan, her Master of Science degree in Health and Physical Education at Louisiana Tech University, and her Ph.D. in Sport Administration at Florida State University.
Upon finishing her doctoral degree from Florida State, Dr. Lu went back to Taiwan to teach sport management at undergraduate and graduate levels. During her teaching in Taiwan, Dr. Lu also performed her passion in the sport industry beyond teaching. She served sport information/ media relations/sport marketing duties in several projects with the Chinese Taipei Baseball Association, the Chinese Taipei University Sports Federation and the Brother Elephants Baseball Team.
Dr. Lu's primary research interests include sport marketing, consumer behavior and sponsorship. She has translated two English sport management textbooks into Chinese, published studies in journals and given presentations at international, national and regional conferences.
Dr. Lu is a member of the North American Society for Sport Management (NASSM) and the Sport Marketing Association (SMA). |
