Motional Analysis Center

Biomechanics Specialization - MS in Movement Science

The Motion Analysis Center Lab (MAC-Lab), a new state-of-the-art research center, is operated jointly by the School of Human Performance and Leisure Sciences and the School of Podiatric Medicine. The 780 square feet lab contains the latest equipment and computer software programs used for analyzing human movement. Hands-on experience in our laboratory will enable you to gain the skills necessary to correctly apply selected quantitative movement analysis techniques to activities of daily living, sport, and the workplace. Some of the equipment includes:

  • High speed cameras (used for 3D High Speed Motion Analysis)
  • 2 high-speed video cameras
  • Force measurement devices (AMTI Force Plates)
  • Techscan Pressure Measurement Mat and in-shoe sensors
  • G-Walk gait analysis
  • Electromyography (8 channel)
  • Vicon Computer Software
